This online exhibition is the result of a collaboration between The Betjeman Society, The Oxfordshire Museum, and Magdalen College. It started life as a collection of physical displays in Magdalen’s Old Library on the occasion of the Betjeman Society Symposium, 2025.
The Making of Archie, Archie and the Strict Baptists, and Jemima Brown and Ted were curated by Garry Gibbons of The Oxfordshire Museum. They are based on an exhibition previously held at the Museum.
John Betjeman at Magdalen was curated by Dr Emily Jennings (Assistant Archivist and Records Manager, Magdalen College) and Jessica Woodward (Special Collections Librarian, Magdalen College).
The displays were adapted for online use by Jessica Woodward.
